The Bright Light Social Hour: Two Awesome Mustaches, 6 SXSW Awards, and One Burglarized Van – On Sale Now!

Every since SXSW this year, the buzz on Austin’s The Bright Light Social Hour has been building.  Ya’ll know we don’t like to wait, so we wanted to get them to Indy as fast as we could.

The Bright Light Social Hour is an American rock band from Austin, Texas. Born out of a university art-rock collective, the band first gained attention in Austin from their incendiary live performances and innovative vision of rock and roll. Melding southern rock, hard dance, psychedelic blues, and deep soul, their debut full-length album led to heightening critical acclaim, national touring, and a rare sweep of six awards at the SXSW 2011 Austin Music Awards, including Band of the Year, Album of the Year, and Song of the Year.

Tickets for their show at Radio Radio JUST went on sale.  Tickets are only $10 in advance.  We will be updating support acts very soon.  Check out their latest video or check out hit their Facebook page for some more tunes.

The band recently had their van burglarized up in Saskatoon and lost over $15,000 in gear.  You can do a hard-workin’ band a favor and drop them a buck or two to help get them back on their feet here.

Do317 is also giving a way a pair of tickets if you want to head over and click “I Like It” to get entered.
