The Mowgli's
The Mowgli's
Five childhood friends from the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles, augmented by three Midwestern transplants, The Mowgli's are a quintessential California band. Inspired by the magnetism of San Francisco, the grind of Los Angeles and the serenity of the Big Sur Coast, their songs are a joyous revival of rock n' roll, a twisting indie-folk dance and a heartfelt protest ballad.

Sliding from indie pop to country and a host of genres in between, the band evokes modern artists such as Fun., Grouplove and Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, whilst having their roots in the music of Neil Young, The Byrds, The Beach Boys and Fleetwood Mac.

Part '60s Laurel Canyon, part '70s Venice Beach and part '10s Silverlake, the band and the harmonies are held together by their message of universal love, peace and the belief that the highest form of consciousness is achieved by togetherness and unity.

Uplifting, collaborative, joyous and communal, their music is a walk through their life thus far: Meeting each other and experiencing together ("San Francisco", "The Great Divide"), emerging stronger ("Carry Your Will") -- their message is finding a foothold with fans from every walk of life, bringing people together under one roof to celebrate each other.
MisterWives
MisterWives was formed in 2012 where the 3 New York natives set out to produce, and perform their independently composed music. Their sound has been described as indie-pop-soul and has been well received in some of New York's most notable venues. The core members include Mandy Lee (vocals/keys) William Hehir (bass) and Etienne Bowler (drums).Their live set however incorporates other musicians that contribute sax, trumpet, guitar, and strings to their well-rounded sound. The band is currently working on their EP that will be released in the spring of 2013.
Buried Beds
Buried Beds
"This is one of those bands that's so good, you simply cannot understand why the world hasn't discovered it yet. Buried Beds is a pop group - no apology necessary, because doing pure pop well (i.e. not boring people to death) is a high-wire act not too many people can pull off. The band was formed in 2003 by Philadelphia indie music mainstay Brandon Beaver (how's that for a pre-existing stage name!) and Eliza Jones. Check out the latest Buried Beds collection, Tremble the Sails, to understand what talented people can do with piano, acoustic guitar, banjo and violin. The arrangements are lush and interesting, the lyrics focused and funny, and the vocal harmonies are Beach Boys good. All the vocals, by the way, were recorded at home, with the band members in their PJs."
